Crate Washer

Functions:

The crate washer has the functions of washing, sterilizing, and drying. This drying function is optional.

Plastic crates should be necessarily returned by conveyor or manually to the crate washer to get cleaned and dried once they are used. The automatic crate washer consists of three steps of washing.

The 1st step is to wash the crates with warm water of 42 0C, the nozzles which is easy to adjust and disassemble will spray water into each corner of the crates; Some used water will pour into the sewage pipe net, but many will be recycled after being filtered.

The 2nd step is to wash the crates with hot water at 82 0C, to sterilize their crates, and the used water will be recycled;

And the 3rd step is to rinse the crates with the booster pump. The used water can be recycled at the 1st stage again. After washing, the crates will be transported to the drying machine by the chain conveyor of the drying machine. After washing, the crates will be transported to the drying machine by the chain conveyor.

And the washed crates will be dried by 1 set of centrifugal fans. The dried crates will be taken away manually or transported to somewhere by the conveyor. This drying function is optional. Customers can choose to have it or not.

Product Knowledge

How does the crate washer operate?

The operation of a crate washer typically involves several steps:
Loading: The crates to be washed are loaded onto the conveyor system either manually or automatically. The conveyor system transports the crates into the washing chamber.
Pre-Wash Inspection: Before the washing process begins, there might be a pre-wash inspection to remove any large debris or contaminants from the crates.
Washing Process:
Step 1 - Washing with Warm Water: The crates are sprayed with warm water (usually around 42°C) to remove dirt and initial contaminants. The water is sprayed from adjustable nozzles to ensure thorough coverage, including hard-to-reach areas.
Step 2 - Sterilization with Hot Water: After the initial wash, the crates are subjected to hot water (typically around 82°C) to sterilize them and eliminate any remaining bacteria or pathogens. This step is crucial for maintaining hygiene standards.
Step 3 - Rinsing: The crates are rinsed with water, often using a booster pump to ensure thorough rinsing. This step helps to remove any remaining detergent or residue from the crates.
Drying (Optional): If the drying function is included, the washed crates are then dried using centrifugal fans. This step helps to ensure that the crates are completely dry before they are unloaded.
Unloading: Finally, the washed and, if applicable, dried crates are unloaded from the conveyor system. This can be done manually or automatically, depending on the setup.
Throughout the operation, the crate washing machine may have controls and monitoring systems in place to adjust parameters such as water temperature, pressure, and cycle duration. Additionally, there may be safety features to prevent accidents and ensure the smooth operation of the machine.

How efficient is the crate washer in terms of washing and drying cycles per hour?
The efficiency of a crate washer in terms of washing and drying cycles per hour depends on various factors including the model of the crate washer, its design, capacity, and the specific requirements of the washing and drying processes.
Washing Efficiency: The washing efficiency of a crate washer is determined by its capacity to wash a certain number of crates per hour. This capacity is often specified by the manufacturer and can vary based on the model. For example:
RXXJ-III: Max. 900 crates/hour
RXXJ-IV: Max. 1200 crates/hour
RXXJ-VI: Max. 1500 crates/hour
RXXJ-VII: Max. 1000 crates/hour
Drying Efficiency (if applicable): If the crate washer includes a drying function, its efficiency in terms of drying cycles per hour will depend on factors such as the type of drying mechanism (e.g., centrifugal fans), the drying time required, and the throughput capacity of the drying system.
Overall Efficiency: The overall efficiency of the crate washer can be assessed by considering both the washing and, if applicable, the drying cycles per hour. Manufacturers often provide specifications regarding the combined throughput capacity of the washing and drying processes.
